American Idol winner Taylor Hicks will reign as the Krewe of Endymion's grand marshal for the 2007 Carnival season. The gray-haired, 30-year-old soul singer from Birmingham, Ala., won over audiences this year with his vocal performances and curious dancing style on the hit reality TV show. Singer Al Green and the musical groups Journey and Styx will also ride in the parade.

I'm right there with you Mel. Taylor Hicks doesn't exactly do it for me either. More power to him though--Mardi Gras is always a good time, especially if you're King!
