In the Pink

The following was sent to Kentucky state employees by the governor's wife. Such a great idea to bring awareness to breast cancer research. Doesn't matter where you live--anyone can do it!

I'll be wearing pink tomorrow. Hope you will too!

Dear Employees,

Many of us have been personally touched by the effects of cancer which is why the Governor and I are writing today, encouraging you to support a special statewide activity in which all Kentuckians can participate: Wear Pink to Work Day.

This day symbolizes our support for efforts and resources to find a cure for breast cancer. It is also a day to pay tribute to those who have courageously fought and continue to fight this dreadful disease.

Please join us in celebrating hope, perseverance and our goal to end breast cancer in our lifetime by wearing pink to work on Tuesday, October 10, 2006. It’s a small, but significant way to show our unity and to honor those who have been touched by breast cancer.

To learn more about breast cancer and Wear Pink to Work Day, visit the wellness works website: www.wellnessworks.ky.gov. Thanks for your support!

Warm regards,

Glenna Fletcher

I hopped over from V's blog - I was happy to see that even if my accident, I did wear pink to work yesterday!
