Progress...

You've all seen the before photos. Now, welcome to our "new" front porch. The thousands of coats of ancient lead paint were a bear to get off, but I think it was worth it. The wood beneath was actually beautiful and amazingly intact. All that's left is to sweep off the dirty foot prints and add one or two more coats of polyurethane...and hopefully a new front porch swing to match! (Gawd I have no life. I've become so, so...domesticated. Ick. I do like my porch though. Perfect for sitting, having a few cocktails and making fun of the neighbors!)
