A Little E. B. White

If the world were merely seductive,
that would be easy.
It it were merely challenging,
that would be no problem.
But I arise in the morning torn
between a desire to improve the world
and a desire to enjoy the world.
This makes it hard to plan the day.

Wow. I gotta say I'm a big fan of your quote posts. But this one really, really, really struck me. What an awesome quote. I think I will go look up this EB White fellow.

V--Elwyn Brooks White (July 11, 1899 – October 1, 1985) was a leading American essayist, author, and literary stylist.

He wrote Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, and helped edit Strunk & White's Elements on Style. "He was a spokesman for the freedom of the individual. His writing ranged from satire to textbooks to children's fiction..."

Look him up. Worth the read!

Fantastic quote, as usual. Where do you find all this great material?? The only one I know off the top of my head is
"a man who loves not wine, women, and song remains a fool his whole life long." Not very reflective or inspiring.
