I came home today to discover this enormous Hepplewhite sideboard in the middle of my livingroom. T's great aunt bought it for us as a wedding gift. On the pro-side it is amazing and beautiful and we desperately need the storage. On the con-side, our house is short on square footage and cramped already. So now we are scrambling to move around the furniture and find a place for it.I thought the gifts were pretty much done, as the wedding was two months ago, but obviously I was wrong (not uncommon). One heck of a wedding gift if I do say so myself...and that's going to have to be one heck of a thank you note!!! Amazing! God gives you some sour lemons and a husband with bum kidneys (more on this later when I'm up to talking about it), and you get furniture?!?

Furniture is like Jewelry- it is ALWAYS the right thing- you'll deal with the size later!! ;) Congrats on having such a great new family! ;)

Thanks Mel & Amydell! Usually T's family makes mine look like the Waltons (and that's really saying something), but this great aunt is actually a very neat lady, who I am honored to know...
She was one of the first female doctors in Kentucky and joined the army during WWII to get through medical school. She's taught thousands of other doctors and was the top of her field before she retired.
It doesn't hurt that she gives amazing wedding gifts either... ;o)
